High Velocity Connect: A Day of Innovation

Yesterday I attended only my second ever Atlassian hosted event, which is crazy given I've worked with Atlassian products for over a decade! You better believe I am grabbing every opportunity to attend these events as often as I can! A fun fact about me: I consider myself to be an ambivert, meaning I have both introverted and extroverted traits, some people on my LinkedIn network who know me personally will likely laugh at the thought of me being introverted (trust me, I get it!) - but hear me out - I love socialising and I can be the loudest person in a room but equally I love working at home ALONE giving those social batteries time to recharge - hence the ambivert title!
Why These Events Matter
As an Atlassian Product Specialist working for a Platinum Solutions Partner I feel these events are pivotal to helping me understand what customers are looking for, the challenges they face and the problems they want to solve. Why? because I strive to be the very best and deliver the very best to our customers. That may very well sound like a cliché but it is the genuine truth.
Every company wants to define their USP, and at Sourcesense International, we believe ours is exceptional service delivery. We do that by taking a deep, genuine interest in what our customers need.
Immersing Myself in the Event
So there I am, all alone in London in a room full of strangers yet we have more in common than we realise. We’re all eager to learn more about the tool they all share. First things first... A coffee ☕ and some much needed food 🥐.
After a quick chat with some Atlassian gurus, the day officially kicks off with the keynote session, followed by the customer fireside chat. This is one of my favourite parts of any event. I love hearing real-life customer experiences, learning how they’ve tackled challenges, and understanding the different methods they’ve used to overcome them.

AI, ITSM, and the Future of Atlassian Tools
The next session was a game-changer "Unleashing AI-powered ITSM for support teams". This is the moment my brain🧠 starts firing on all cylinders. I’m taking notes, absorbing information on new features and functionality, and capturing key questions being asked during the Q&A (because these will come in handy later!).
At lunch, I grab a plate, find a seat, and strike up conversations with people around me. I love these interactions, learning about different job roles, the teams people work with, and sharing my own experience as an Atlassian user, Administrator, and now Consultant. 😎
In the afternoon, I dive into "Impossible Without Assets: How to Supercharge Service Management with Data You Can Trust". This session was a standout for me. Seeing the end-to-end solution of AIOps features combined with Rovo had my brain ticking. I jotted down so many questions and couldn’t wait to get back to the office to test some of these scenarios myself.
Ending the Day with Ideas and Inspiration
My final session was the AI-powered ITSM workshop, followed by networking to close out the day. With a full notepad and a list of ideas, I left feeling energised, inspired, and excited about the possibilities that Atlassian’s latest innovations bring. A few things are clear to me, AI is here to stay, Service Management is evolving and now is the time to embrace change!
If you couldn’t attend the event and want to know what’s new and what actually matters to your business, let’s chat! I’d love to share my takeaways and help you make sense of how these changes fit into your world.
